Yemi Osunkoya honoured as one of Britain's 100+ black achievers

The exhibition, 100+ black achievers, is a photographic exhibition that illustrates the achievement of inspirational members of the black community.  Yemi, the designer behind the Kosibah label, was delighted and honoured to be one of the achievers chosen at a reception on 3rd July 2010. He joined an illustrious cohort of other black achievers whose work and lives are celebrated by the exhibition.

Lukundo wins MNET Face of Africa 2010 wearing Kosibah

Congratulations to Lukundo from Zambia who took the crown at this year's MNET Face of Africa 2010 awards.  The final was held in Lagos Nigeria and Yemi Osunkoya from Kosibah was one of the designers selected to dress the contestants.  Lukundo was wearing a Kosibah evening gown as she came down the catwalk.

Yemi Osunkoya named Goodwill Ambassador for Catwalk the World

Yemi Osunkoya, the designer behind the Kosibah Creations label, was honoured to be named as one of Catwalk the World's Goodwill Ambassadors.
As a first outing in his new role, Kosibah Creations staged a fashion show in support of the Edo State Women's Association Unity Day Celebrations at London's Harrington Hall Hotel on 25 Oct 2008.

Yemi Osunkoya wins Award of Excellence at the Gathering of Africa's Best

Yemi Osunkoya, the designer behind the Kosibah Creations label, was greatly honoured to receive the Award of Excellence at the Gathering of Africa's Best ceremony in London, 12 Nov 2006. In accepting the award from actress Martina Laird (Casualty), Yemi dedicated the award to his mother and paid tribute to her support for his career. Yemi named Kosibah Creations in honour of his mother: Cosiba being the day name of a child born on a Sunday in the Republic of Benin. "It is a great privilege to receive this award and very humbling to be in such distinguished and illustrious company as the other recipients," said Yemi.

On Saturday 24th April 2004, at a gala show at the Cafe Royal, Regents Street, London WC1, Kosibah Creations was awarded Bridal Designer of the Year 2004, by Mahogany Events. This is the second time Kosibah has won this prestigious award.

Kosibah Creations recognised for outstanding performance and awarded Designer of the Year 2002

Kosibah Creations won the Designer of the Year 2002 Award given by Mahogany Events for outstanding performance and commitment to the African Caribbean Wedding Industry. The awards ceremony was a lavish gala event on 28th September 2002 held at the Battersea Arts Centre. Kosibah Creations was also nominated in the Business of the Year category.
