Kosibah on the catwalk at Africa Fashion Week New York

Yemi Osunkoya and Kosibah will be showing at Africa Fashion Week New York on Friday 16th July at 6pm at the Broad Street Ballroom, 41 Broad St, New York, NY 10004.  Kosibah will be opening the show that evening with a catwalk display of day, evening and bridal wear.  We hope to see you there.

I'm a size 14-16. How can I flatter my figure? Yemi advises in Your London Wedding

Page 87 of the Jul/Aug 2010 edition of Your London Wedding features Yemi Osunkoya (the designer behind the Kosibah label) as one of the experts advising brides to be on the best ways to flatter their figures.  In response to a size 14 - 16 bride, Yemi counsels: "To achieve the elegant and modern look you'd like for your wedding, I would advise you to opt for a bespoke gown made from scratch using your measurements."

Yemi Osunkoya honoured as one of Britain's 100+ black achievers

The exhibition, 100+ black achievers, is a photographic exhibition that illustrates the achievement of inspirational members of the black community.  Yemi, the designer behind the Kosibah label, was delighted and honoured to be one of the achievers chosen at a reception on 3rd July 2010. He joined an illustrious cohort of other black achievers whose work and lives are celebrated by the exhibition.

Kosibah gown in High Society article in You & Your Wedding

A Kosibah gown is featured in the High Society section of the Jul/Aug 2010 edition of You and Your Wedding.  The article features gowns that make statements "that will never go out of syle".  See page 125 for the Kosibah wedding dress.

The latest fashions: Kosibah featured in Totally Jewish Simchas

The May-Aug 2010 issue carried a special feature on Kosibah, explaining that "the latest fashion trends for brides and grooms veer towards daring, less traditional creations."  The article interviews Yemi Osunkoya among three of the UK's top bespoke designers.  Pages 18 - 21

Yemi Osunkoya featured on MNET's Studio 53

Yemi Osunkoya, the designer behind the Kosibah brand, was the subject of an in-depth interview on MNET's Studio 53 programme.  Fareed Khimani met Yemi out shopping for fabric and went back to the designer's studio to learn more about the influences on and inspiration for Yemi's work.  Recommended viewing for those who want to get an insight into how a couture gown is created.  You can see an excerpt from the programme on this site.

Lukundo wins MNET Face of Africa 2010 wearing Kosibah

Congratulations to Lukundo from Zambia who took the crown at this year's MNET Face of Africa 2010 awards.  The final was held in Lagos Nigeria and Yemi Osunkoya from Kosibah was one of the designers selected to dress the contestants.  Lukundo was wearing a Kosibah evening gown as she came down the catwalk.
